Carla is a singer, guitarist, and founding member of The Walkabouts and duo Chris & Carla. From her earliest years as a musician she has drawn her influences from folk music, art and film, a medium she has worked in as an editor.

On Saint Stranger, Carla's debut solo album, she is joined by an impressive cast of musicians including Akis Boyatzis, Christine Gunn, Nancy Wharton, Dan Tyack, Fred Chalenor (The Walkabouts), Bill Rieflin and Michael Wells (The Walkabouts).

As of spring 2019 she's hard at work on her follow-up solo album, so stay tuned for more news on that.
