Lauded by Seattle's bi-weekly The Stranger as the "the loudest all-acoustic band ever created," Ottoman Bigwigs were headed by the inimitable actor, singer and high energy performer Christopher Welch. Rounding out the lineup was James Palmer (Long Wasted, Dodi, The Bolos, The Lawnmowers) on guitar & vocals, and Ron Carnell (Tina Chopp, The Lawnmowers, Nicholas Vroman) on drums & vocals. The group recorded just one album, their excellent eponymous release, before Welch moved to New York to pursue a successful acting career.
